Takedown & Complaints
Effective July 15, 2026
If content made with PromoTwin uses your likeness without your consent, recreates your video without permission, or otherwise infringes your rights, we want to hear about it. This page explains what to send us and what happens next. It supplements section 5 of our Terms of Service.
1. What to include
- The content. A link to the video or content you are reporting, wherever you found it. If you have a link to the original source video, include that too.
- The basis of the complaint. Tell us which of these applies: it uses your likeness without consent, it recreates your video without permission, it infringes a work you own, or something else, described in your own words.
- Who you are. Enough for us to confirm you are the person or rights holder concerned, or authorized to act for them. A message from the social account that posted the original video is usually the simplest proof.
- A statement of good faith. Confirm that the information in your report is accurate and that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized.
- How to reach you. An email address or account handle for follow-up.
2. What we do
- We acknowledge your report and review it promptly.
- If the complaint holds up, we remove the content from our systems and revoke any hosted copies we control.
- Every recreation on the Service is tied to a recorded confirmation from the user who made it that they had permission or another legal right to the source video. A valid complaint means that confirmation was false, which is a breach of our Terms: the account faces suspension, and repeat offenders are terminated.
- We tell you the outcome.
3. What we cannot do
- We cannot remove content from other platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube). If a recreation has been published elsewhere, report it to that platform as well; their likeness and copyright processes apply to content on their services. We will act on our side regardless.
- We do not adjudicate disputes between two parties who both claim rights to the same material. Where ownership is genuinely contested, we may remove the content while the parties resolve it.
4. Abusive reports
Deliberately false reports waste the time we spend protecting people with real complaints. We may ignore repeat reporters who submit knowingly false claims.
